Hoi An

An ancient town on the Thu Bon River, its century-old architecture almost perfectly preserved, glowing with lanterns after dark.

As dusk falls, Hoi An's ancient town glows under lanterns of every colour, and time seems to slow along its moss-covered rooftops on the Thu Bon River. Few places let you touch history so directly — in every brick, every wooden door that's stood for over a hundred years.

  • Hoi An Ancient Town — a UNESCO World Heritage site
  • The Japanese Covered Bridge, nearly 400 years old
  • Historic merchant houses with their original architecture intact
  • Tra Que vegetable village and Thanh Ha pottery village nearby
  • Cu Lao Cham, a UNESCO biosphere reserve
  • The Bay Mau coconut forest in Cam Thanh
